!Conflict: There is a number of differences between the information on the sheet by Joseph Covington and the one by Wanda N. Kasteler. I have use the information by Joseph Covington. Wanda Kasteler gave birth place as Gudmuntorp, death date as 19 June 1868, baptized 28 Sep 1842, endowed 24 June 1865, and sealed 19 June 1968.

!Conflict: ANSTFILE (1991) gives b. 29 Sep 1821, d. 19 Jun 1868, Bap. 28 Sep 1852.

Note

Leo Tanner did some background studies on Hans:

From your E-mail about Hans Lundblad, I did some research. Before Hans
came to America, it looks like they lived in Sovde, which is in the
southernmost providence of Skane. His oldest daughter Johanna (who is
where we descend from) was born there, and the third child Charlotte was
born there in 1851. John the fourth child was born on the Mormon Trail
in 1855. As far back as I could check, it looks like the family line
comes from Billinge, which is a little north of Sovde. Billinge is also
in Skane Providence. I found out some other interesting facts about
Skane.

Skane is rich rolling farm land, which because of wars between Sweden
and Denmark changed hands several times. It was last a Danish possession
in 1658. So, there is a strong Danish influence in the Skane culture.
Not far from Sovde are the remains of a Viking village at Trelleborg
(www.trelleborg.se). Also, there is Bredaror (kirviksgraven), which may
have been a Phoenician Colony. There are many castles in Skane.
Ovedskloster and Marsvinsholm are close to Sovde.

The pioneer Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe was born in Knudstrup Castle
in Skane. Also, he built an observatory and castle on Ven (Hven) Island,
which is between Denmark and Skane. The castle was torn down; however, I
think that the observatory is still there.
