We are to give diligent heed to the words of eternal life, Doctrine and Covenants 84:42-44. We are to search diligently and pray always, Doctrine and Covenants 90:24. We are to give all diligence to the things of God, 2 Peter 1:4-8. We are to hearken diligently to God, Isaiah 55:1-3. We are to be diligent in keeping the commandments of the Lord, Deuteronomy 6:17-19 and Alma 7:22-24.
We are to learn our duty in the Church and diligently work to accomplish it, Doctrine and Covenants 107:99-100. We should be diligent in good causes and not wait to be commanded, Doctrine and Covenants 58:26-28. The work on the temple is to be carried out diligently with perseverance and patience, Doctrine and Covenants 127:4. We need to labor diligently to bring others to Christ, Moroni 9:6. Those that preach the gospel are to labor with their might, Doctrine and Covenants 75:2-5. We are to serve God with all our heart, might, and strength, Doctrine and Covenants 4:1-2. When we serve God, diligence is one of the requirements, Doctrine and Covenants 4:5-7.
We are to be diligent in all things, Doctrine and Covenants 75:28-29. This includes being diligent in taking care of our earthly things, Doctrine and Covenants 136:27. The diligent man doesn't wast his resources, Proverbs 12:27. We are not to be slothful but show diligence, Hebrews 6:10-12.
Those that are faithful and diligent will receive blessings, Doctrine and Covenants 59:3-5 and Doctrine and Covenants 70:15-16. God rewards those that diligently seek him, Hebrews 11:6. Those that seek the Lord with their whole heart are blessed, Psalm 119:2-4. We are to be diligent so that we will receive the peace of the Lord, 2 Peter 3:13-14. Those that diligently follow the Lord's word are given additional knowledge, Alma 12:8-11. If you nourish the tree of the word diligently it will grow up and bear fruit. Alma 32:41-43.
It is through our diligence that things are accomplished, Doctrine and Covenants 103:36. Those that are diligent will get ahead in the world, Proverbs 12:24 and Proverbs 22:29. We should be diligent so that we might win the prize, Mosiah 4:27. It is important to be diligent in making a living, Proverbs 10:4-5.
If we gain more intelligence in this life through our diligence it will help us in the world to come, Doctrine and Covenants 130:18-19.
Jacob and his brother Joseph worked diligently to teach the people the word of God, Jacob 1:18-19. Enos prayed diligently before receiving an answer from the Lord, Enos 1:3-5. King Benjamin's people were diligent in keeping the commandments of the Lord, Mosiah 1:11. King Limhi's people are promised they will be deliver from bondage if they diligently serve the Lord, Mosiah 7:31-33. There was continual peace in the land because of the heed and diligence of the people in obeying the leader of the Church, Alma 49:30. At this time the Church was broken up expect for among some of the Lamanites who were firm and steadfast in diligently keeping the commandments of the Lord, 3 Nephi 6:14.
One of the reasons the sons of Mosiah where such great men in the Lord is because they searched the scriptures diligently, Alma 17:2-3.
The Lord tells the Children of Israel they will be blessed if they diligently follow His voice, Exodus 15:25-26. Moses instructed the two and half tribe on the other side of Jordan to diligently keep the commandments, Joshua 22:4-6. The leaders of the Church in our day are told that if they are diligent and prayerful the Lord will provide a way for them to meet their debts, Doctrine and Covenants 104:78-80.
Early leader of the Church were reminded to be diligent. Jospeh Smith is called to the Lord's work and is to be diligent in keeping His commandments, Doctrine and Covenants 18:7-8. Joseph Smith is counseled to be diligent in the work of translation, but don't run faster than he has strength, Doctrine and Covenants 10:4-5. Oliver Cowdery is reminded to be diligent in keeping the commandments of God, Doctrine and Covenants 6:20. Newel K. Whitney's family was instructed to be more diligent in their prayers, Doctrine and Covenants 93:49-50.
"Love endureth by diligence unto prayer," Moroni 8:25-26.
We can use our diligence to show our love for the Savior, 2 Corinthians 8:7-8.
Sometimes even though we are diligent, enemies cause the works of God to be modified, Doctrine and Covenants 124:49.
