Genesis 50:15 And when Joseph's
brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will
peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which

Exodus 32:30 And it came to pass on the
morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin:
and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an
atonement for your sin.

Leviticus 4:20 And he shall do with
the bullock as he did with the bullock for a sin offering, so shall he
do with this: and the priest shall make an atonement for them, and it

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor
bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love
thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant,
even as I had pity on thee?

he should pay all that was due unto him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from
your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Mosiah 4:2 And they had viewed themselves
in their own carnal state, even less than the dust of the earth. And
they all cried aloud with one voice, saying: O have mercy, and apply
the atoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our
sins, and our hearts may be purified; for we believe in Jesus Christ,
the Son of God, who created heaven and earth, and all things; who shall
come down among the children of men.
Mosiah 4:10 And again, believe that ye
must repent of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before

Alma 39:6 For behold, if ye deny
the Holy Ghost when it once has had place in you, and ye know that ye
deny it, behold, this is a sin which is unpardonable; yea, and
whosoever murdereth against the light and knowledge of God, it is not
easy for him to obtain forgiveness; yea, I say unto you, my son, that
it is not easy for him to obtain a forgiveness.
Moroni 6:7 And they were strict to observe

names were blotted out, and they were not numbered among the people of

intent, they were forgiven.

to sin no more, lest perils shall come upon you.
D&C 31:4 You shall declare the things which
have been revealed to my servant, Joseph Smith, Jun. You shall begin to
preach from this time forth, yea, to reap in the field which is white
already to be burned.
5 Therefore, thrust in your sickle with all your soul, and your sins
are forgiven you, and you shall be laden with sheaves upon your back,
for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Wherefore, your family shall
live.
D&C 36:1 Thus saith the Lord God, the Mighty
One of Israel: Behold, I say unto you, my servant Edward, that you are
blessed, and your sins are forgiven you, and you are called to preach
my gospel as with the voice of a trump;
D&C 38:10 Verily I say unto you, ye are
clean, but not all; and there is none else with whom I am well pleased;
11 For all flesh is corrupted before me; and the powers of darkness
prevail upon the earth, among the children of men, in the presence of

you, blessed are you who are now hearing these words of mine from the
mouth of my servant, for your sins are forgiven you.
D&C 56:14 Behold, thus saith the Lord unto
my people--you have many things to do and to repent of; for behold,
your sins have come up unto me, and are not pardoned, because you seek
to counsel in your own ways.
D&C 58:42 Behold, he who has repented of his
sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more.
43 By this ye may know if a man repenteth of his sins -- behold, he
will confess them and forsake them.
D&C 60:6 And from thence let my servants,
Sidney Rigdon, Joseph Smith, Jun., and Oliver Cowdery, take their
journey for Cincinnati:
7 And in this place let them lift up their voice and declare my word
with loud voices, without wrath or doubting, lifting up holy hands upon
them. For I am able to make you holy, and your sins are forgiven you.
D&C 61:2 Behold, verily thus saith the Lord
unto you, O ye elders of my church, who are assembled upon this spot,
whose sins are now forgiven you, for I, the Lord, forgive
D&C 64:7 Nevertheless, he has sinned; but
verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, forgive sins unto those who confess
their sins before me and ask forgiveness, who have not sinned unto
death.
8 My disciples, in days of old, sought occasion against one another
and forgave not one another in their hears; and for this evil they were
afflicted and sorely chastened.
D&C 64:9 Wherefore, I say unto you, that ye
ought to forgive one another; for he that forgiveth not his brother his
trespasses standeth condemned before the Lord; for there remaineth in
him the greater sin.
D&C 64:10 I, the Lord, will forgive whom I
will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men.
11 And ye ought to say in your hearts -- let God judge between me
and thee, and reward thee according to thy deeds.
D&C 68:22 And again, no bishop or high
priest who shall be set apart for this ministry shall be tried or
condemned for any crime, save it be before the First Presidency of the
church;
23 And inasmuch as he is found guilty before this Presidency, by
testimony that cannot be impeached, he shall be condemned;
24 And if he repent he shall be forgiven, according to the covenants
and commandments of the church.
D&C 76:33 For they are vessels of wrath,
doomed to suffer the wrath of God, with the devil and his angels in
eternity;
34 Concerning who I have said there is no forgiveness in this world
nor in the world to come--
D&C 82:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, my
servants, that inasmuch as you have forgiven one another your
trespasses, even so I, the Lord, forgive you.
D&C 84:61 For I will forgive you of your
sins with this commandment--that you remain steadfast in your minds in
solemnity and the spirit of prayer, in bearing testimony to all the
world of those things which are communicated unto you.
D&C 95:1 Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you
whom I love, and whom I love I also chasten that their sins may be
forgiven, for with the chastisement I prepare a way for their
deliverance in all things out of temptation, and I have loved you --
D&C 98:40 And so on unto the second and
third time; and as oft as thine enemy repenteth of the trepass
wherewith he has trespassed against thee, thou shalt forgive him until
seventy times seven.
D&C 109:34 O Jehovah, have mercy upon this
people, and as all men sin forgive the transgressions of thy people,
and let them be blotted out forever.
35 Let the anointing of thy ministers be sealed upon them with power
from on high.
