man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over
the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,
and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth
upon the earth.

earth.

the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall if bring forth to thee; and thou

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return
unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and
unto dust shalt thou return.

which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may

wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all
that he hath to my hand;
9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept
back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then
can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he
hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the

thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it
thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that
is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all
that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed
the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the
congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.
Deuteronomy 1:17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou
liest down, and when thou risest up.

mean ye by these stones?
7 Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off
before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan,
the waters of Jodan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a
memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
8 And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up
twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto
Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of
Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they
lodged, and laid them down there.
Joshua 4:21 And he spake unto the children of
Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to
come, saying, What mean these stones?

you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red

O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

an armed man.

from the beginning, or ever the eath was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were
no mountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought
forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the
highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass
upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the
fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not
pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily
his delight, rejoicing always before him:
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights
were with the sons of men.

13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her
household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her
hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

out by night.

he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a
godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal
treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting
away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of
hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not
treacherously.

2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst
of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and
become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of
heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the
same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth
me.
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in
me, it were better for him that a milstone were hanged about his neck,
and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Matthew 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not
one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their
angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be
gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the
mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth
more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven,
that one of these little ones should perish.

thy heart, and with all they soul, and with all thy mind.

as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and
delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another
one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway
took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded wtih
the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and
hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and
reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other
five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents:
behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful
servent: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee
ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou
deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other
talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him Well done, good and faithful servant; thou
hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many
things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I
knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown,
and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo,
there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful
servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I
have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers,
and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usurary.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which
hath ten talents.
29 Fou unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have
abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that
which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mark 1:16 Now as he walked by the sea of
Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the
sea: for they were fishers.
17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you
to become fishers of men.
18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
19 And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the

their nets.
20 And staightway he called them: and they left their father

17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and
he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas,

19 And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into

purse:
9 But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
10 And be said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an
house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
11 And whosever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart
thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against
them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodeom and
Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves

34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among
themselves, who should be the greatest.
35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If
any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant
of all.
36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when
he had taken him in hes arms, he said unto them,
37 Whoseoeveer shall receive one of such children in my name,
receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him
that sent me.

him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that
brought them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto
them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not:
for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of
God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16 And he took them up in he arms, put his hands upon them, and
blessed them.

20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I
observed from my youth.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing
thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the
poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the
cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at the saying, and went away grieved: for he had
great possessions.
Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and
saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter
into the kingdom of God!
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus
answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them
that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than
for the rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves,
Who then can be saved?
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but
not with God: for with God all things are possible.
JST Mark 10:27 With men that trust in
riches, it is impossible; but not impossible with men who trust in God
and leave all for my sake, for with such all these things are possible.
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God
with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and
with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor
as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the
eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and
hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him
after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye unto all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature.
Luke 5:1 And it came to pass, that, as the people
pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of
Gennesaret,
2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were
gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and
prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat
down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into
the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5 And Simon ansering said unto him, Mater, we have toiled all the
night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down
the net.
6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of
fishes: and their net brake.
7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other
ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled
both the ships, so they began to sink.
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying,
Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
9 For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught
of the fishes which they had taken:
10 And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were
partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from
heneforth thou shalt catch men.
11 And when they had brought their ships to land, thney forsook all,
and followed him.
Luke 6:12 And it came to pass in those days,
that he went out into a mountain to prya, and continued all night in
prayer to God.
13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of
them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James
and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called
Zelotes,
16 And Judas the brother of Mames, and Judas Iscariot, which also
was the traitor.
Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to
you, do ye also to them likewise.
Luke 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your
Father also is merciful.
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall
not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down,
and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to
you again.
Luke 6:43 For a good tree bringeth not forth
corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do
not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth
that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his
heart bringeth forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the
heart his mouth speaketh.
Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples
together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to
cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the
sick.
3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither
staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two
coats apiece.
4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence
depart.
5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city,
shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the
gospel, and healing every where.
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld
Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Luke 10:25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and
with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as
thyself.
28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
Luke 10:30 And Jesus answering said, A certain
man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which
stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him
half dead.
31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when
he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked
on him, and passed by on the other side.
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and
when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and
wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took
care of him.
35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and
gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and
whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him
that fell among the thieves?
37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto
him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Luke 11:41 But rather give alms of such things
as ye have; and, behold all things are clean unto you.
JST Luke 11:42 But if ye would rather give
alms of such things as ye have; and observe to do all things which I
have commanded you, then would your inward parts be clean also.
Luke 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of
God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they
shall slay and persecute:
Luke 6:12 And it came to pass in those days,
that he wnt out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in
prayer to God.
13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of
them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
Luke 17:12 And as he entered into a certain
village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have
mercy on us.
14 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have
mercy on us.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and
with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he
was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where
are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this
stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go they way: thy faith hath made
thee whole.
Luke 18:15 And they brought unto him also
infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they
rebuked them.
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children
to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of
God.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of
God as a little child shall in no wise enter theren.
Luke 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Mater, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Don not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
Luke 19:11 And as they heard these things, he
added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and
because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to
receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds,
and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying,
We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received
the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to
whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had
gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy poind hath gained ten
pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast
been faithful in a verly little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five
pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which
I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takes up
that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee,
thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up
that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my
coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, take from him the pound, and
give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be
given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken
away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over
them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
Luke 22:28 Ye are they which have continued
with me in my temptations.
29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed
unto me;
30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on
thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:40 One of the two which heard John speak,
and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We
have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said,
Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is
by interpretation, A stone.
43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth
Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unt him, We have found him,
of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of
Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of
Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an
Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered
and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under
the fig tree, I saw thee.
49 Nathanael ansered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of
God; thou art the King of Israel.
50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw
thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things
than these.
51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter
ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and
descending upon the Son of man.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
John 6:30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?
31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which come down from heaven.
42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead; he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can her it?
John 6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my
day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old,
and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesu said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before
Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself,
and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so
passed by.
