There are many different ways to study the scriptures, but the most important thing is that we make it a habit to do a little bit each day. Probably the easiest way to study the scriptures is simply to read a few verses each day. Some of us have very busy schedules, but no matter how busy we are, we have time to read one verse a day. Sometimes we set lofty goals then become discouraged and don't accomplish them. How about setting and easy goal like reading one verse a day, then work up from there. It is very likely if we read one verse we will read more than that on most days.
The Church leader have encouraged us to read from the Book of Mormon daily.
