Jesus Christ the Creator

Scriptures that Give an Account of the Creation

The first two chapters of Genesis are about the creation, Genesis 1:1 Worlds without number have been created by the Son, Moses 1:32-33. They (the Gods) formed the heavens and the earth, Abraham 4:1.

Man was Created in the Image of God

God created man in His image, Genesis 1:26-27 and Moses 2:26-27. We are made in the image of God, Colossians 3:9-11. The Lord created our first parents and all other things, 2 Nephi 2:15. The brother of Jared sees that he was created in the image of God, Ether 3:14-16.

Christ was the Creator

In the Bible and sometime other scriptures it is a bit unclear whether it refers to God the Father or the Son. These scriptures from the Bible are clearly referring to Jesus Christ:

Without the Lord Jesus (Word) nothing was made, John 1:1-4. All things both seen and unseen were made by Christ, Colossians 1:16-18. All things were created by the Lord, Revelation 4:11. The world was made by Jesus, John 1:10-11. God's Power and Authority are Manifested in the Creation

Most scriptures in the Topical Guide about the creation are really talking about something else and just reference the creation as another example of God's power.

The Lord is the great Creator, 2 Nephi 9:5. The Lord made the earth and all things on it, Acts 14:15-16 and D&C 117:6. The Lord has made heaven and earth, 2 Kings 19:15 and Isaiah 45:18. All things were created by the power of the Lord's Spirit, D&C 29:30-33. The Lord has made the earth by his power, Jeremiah 51:15-16.
